Baby Bottle Design and Company Identity
Developed an innovative baby bottle product for a start-up baby-care company and collaborated with a team to establish the company identity of MamiKat. This work is patented & filed and is expected to enter the consumer market in the near future.
This bottle was designed for children, to be used by mothers. Obvious enough, however this simple statement guided both the branding and the product. The bottle has new features, such as a vacuum plate and multi-ring liners that are solely to make feeding easier on the child. The look and feel appeals to a market of mothers who are tired of ugly and dysfunctional products.
They grow up so fast, but so does the product! The bottle accepts a variety of nipples for thicker foods, and even allows for hard-snacks to be carried around as the little ones get older.
The fun part of the design was the marriage between true functionality and branding. Our client wanted it to "be the bottle that you would see Oprah using." After a good laugh, and a lot of work, I designed a bottle that is fun and approachable.
